NBA legend Dwyane Wade’s namesake brand, Way of Wade (WOW), has unveiled his ninth signature shoe with Chinese athletic footwear and apparel brand, Li-Ning, dubbed the Li-Ning x Dwyane Wade Way of Wade 9 Infinity Balance. The 9 Infinity Balance is a shoe done in a fresh white colorway that includes a sheath-like high-top upper with a BOA system in place of traditional laces. The shoe utilizes midsole, light foam technology that provides more elasticity and durability while maintaining a high level of performance. Jiang Technology is utilized in the construction of the WOW 9 Infinity Balance. The technology combines material and structural shock absorption, which rebounds faster and more significantly. This innovative tech effectively reduces the risk of ankle and knee injuries.
As a former professional basketball player for the Miami Heat, 13-time NBA All-Star Dwayne Wade is in a unique position to help design the right type of footwear for athletes. He understands the benefit of technology like the Jiang feature provides by reducing the risk of injury and keeping players on the court for as long as possible. The shoe’s overall design is futuristically inspired and features Li-Ning developed Boom Technology that is purposefully created to rebound better and remain lightweight, which all combines for a longer service life for these shoes. The insoles feature one-stroke drawing art by French artist DFT.
