Grado has introduced the Signature S150, a $295 open-back headphone that brings elements of its more expensive Signature series to a new entry point. Announced October 22, the S150 pairs a newly developed 44mm S driver with detachable cables and a redesigned one-piece housing.

The driver uses a paper-composite diaphragm derived from the 52mm units in the HP100 SE and S950, adapted for the smaller format. Grado specifies a 16Hz–34kHz frequency response, 38-ohm impedance, and 104dB sensitivity at 1mW. As an open-back design, it is intended for listening environments where sound isolation is less important than an airy presentation.

The Signature Bronze detachable cable connects to each earcup through a 3.5mm jack and terminates in a standard 3.5mm plug, with a 6.3mm adapter included. Alternative cable terminations can be ordered. At 220 grams, the headphones also introduce a padded leather headband with adjustable steel tension, revised matte-black gimbals, and stainless-steel height rods.

A single-piece matte-black ABS housing updates Grado’s recognizable silhouette. The supplied F cushions feature internal acoustic slits, and owners can swap in other Grado pads to adjust fit and presentation. Compared with the earlier Signature S550, the S150 prioritizes a lighter polymer construction and substantially lower price rather than wood housings.

The Grado Signature S150 is available for preorder at $295, with shipping expected to begin in early November 2026.
