Nike’s trail-running heritage meets backpacking practicality in the ACG Zegama Hike, a performance hiking boot that blurs the line between running and trekking footwear. Developed after months of listening to the needs of hikers seeking a lighter option with long‑day support, the boot combines the lightweight, responsive DNA of the Zegama Trail running shoe with the durability and protection required for multi‑hour hikes.

The silhouette features a trail‑specific last with extra room in the forefoot and toe box for swelling over long distances, while a stacked foam construction layers a plush, responsive ZoomX core beneath a more rigid frame to balance cushioning and stability.

To enhance traction on variable terrain, the Zegama Hike employs a Vibram Megagrip outsole with broad lugs and a wider base that grips wet and dry surfaces alike. The mid‑cut design incorporates a best‑in‑class fit system to lock down the heel and ankle on steep climbs and descents, and the upper is reinforced with rubberized overlays, toe and heel guards and an integrated gaiter to keep out trail debris. Despite the rugged construction, the boot maintains a striking look with bold colorways that echo ACG’s irreverent design language.

Extensive field testing informed the final product: prototypes were put through eight- to ten‑hour hikes in Oregon, the Alps, South Korea and Southern California to fine‑tune fit and durability.
