Few fictional snacks carry consequences quite like a Devil Fruit. The Nike x One Piece collection turns three of the manga’s power-granting fruits into Air Max Plus designs, backed by jerseys, T-shirts, caps, and a utility vest.

Gomu Gomu uses a purple upper with swirling graphics and green accents, translating the fruit’s skin and stem without relying on a character portrait. Mera Mera moves through orange, red, and yellow, while Ope Ope pairs yellow with red references to its heart-shaped source. Each shoe retains the Air Max Plus platform, including its wavy TPU structure and Tuned Air cushioning, giving the illustrated surfaces a suitably technical frame.

That restraint matters for a franchise already represented across nearly every category of merchandise. Manga panels and a shared Nike-One Piece mark appear throughout the apparel, but the sneakers keep their references embedded in color, pattern, and silhouette. It is a more wearable approach than simply transferring key art onto an upper, and another example of Nike using Air Max as an experimental canvas following the 3D-printed Air Max 1000.2.

The collection makes its worldwide debut through a lottery-access pop-up in Harajuku, Tokyo, from September 4–6. U.S. distribution is split: Ope Ope arrives at select retailers September 19, while Gomu Gomu opens for SNKRS preorder September 25. Mera Mera has no announced U.S. release.

Each shoe costs ¥27,500 in Japan; Nike has not published an official U.S. price.
