Oris recently unveiled the Oris Big Crown x Cervo Volante Collaboration. The three new Big Crown watches feature a 38mm, 1.496-inch stainless steel case with Oris’s winding date pointer. These custom timepieces also use Superluminova C1/C3 for stunning luminous display in the dark. What’s more, the Oris Big Crown x Cervo Volante Collaboration is on point with the company’s mission of conservation and campaigns like Change for the Better. This team works so well because Oris and Cervo Volante have similar visions.
Cervo Volante is a sustainable leather goods company using wild red deerskin that people would otherwise discard. Oris worked with their new partner to take the deerskin and transform it into beautiful, durable, and sustainable deer leather straps. These straps are fully functional watch bands with a stainless-steel, easy-open buckle. Cervo Volante says each strap is also unique, and any imperfection tells a story.
With a set of cathedral hands and Arabic numerals for hour markers with a unique, arching “4”, this Oris Big Crown x Cervo Volante dial format is what we’ve come to expect from the Big Crown line. It comes with a set of cathedral hands and Arabic numerals for hour markers with a unique, arching “4”. The date hand, topped by Oris’s inverted curvy triangle day indicator extends towards the outer edge of the dial where the days of the month appear. With the exception of the gray dial, where the day indicator is red, the day indicators remain the same color as the dial. Through the mineral crystal display case back, Oris’s 754 automatic movement is visible, showing off its trademark red bidirectional rotor.
There are three Alpine-inspired gradient dial colors in the collection. Each comes with a coordinating deer leather strap. The green dial comes with a brown strap, the blue (teal) is matched with tan leather, and the slate gray dial boasts a dark brown watch band. Additionally, these stylish watches come in a collector’s box with a certificate of authenticity.
