An oil-filled dial can make mechanical time look almost digital, but driving that display is anything but simple. The Ressence TYPE 10 DN brings the Belgian independent’s proprietary RW-04 caliber to its fluid-filled architecture, replacing the conventional outsourced base movement used in earlier oil-filled models.

The 41.5mm case is made from Grade 5 titanium with a dark DLC coating and an integrated rubber strap. A fixed bezel assembled from 24 titanium segments surrounds a domed crystal. Beneath it, three inclined satellites rotate to display hours, minutes, and a second time zone, while a 120-second runner doubles as a shock-absorbing visual element. The display also includes an oil-temperature indicator.

The automatic movement and dial occupy separate sealed chambers. Magnetic transmission transfers motion into the upper compartment, which contains 2.95 milliliters of silicone-based oil; an expansion membrane accommodates temperature-related changes in volume.

The RW-04 supplies a 60-hour reserve, while the entire watch weighs just 82 grams. It advances the brand’s distinctive approach to oil-filled timekeeping through new engineering rather than a cosmetic refresh.
Only 100 examples of the TYPE 10 collection are planned, with availability beginning in November 2026. The European price is €60,000 including VAT; U.S. pricing and allocations have not been confirmed.
