The LEGO Fiat 500 returns one of the most popular compact cars on the road today to its iconic 1960s design. The latest addition to LEGO’s Creator Expert series, this set has 960 pieces that capture the most precise details of the car that it emulates. The features echoed by the LEGO model include a back hatch that opens to reveal the rear-mounted engine, a sunroof, and the spare tire under its hood. The interior has the painstaking attention to detail, showcasing a gear stick, hard brake, steering wheel, and even reclining front seats.
There’s also an attachable suitcase complete with Italian travel stickers, luggage rack, tailgate, and fully-functional doors. To keep you in an Italian frame of mind, the car is accompanied by a folding easel that includes a palette, paintbrush and a mock painting of the car in front of Rome’s Colosseum. When fully built, the car measures 9 inches long by 4 inches tall by 4 inches wide. This addition to the LEGO Creator Expert series follows in the footsteps of other automotive designs including the Volkswagen Beetle, a double-decker bus made for the streets of London, and a vintage Ford Mustang.
