Wallace has spent decades solving simple problems with improbably elaborate machinery. The LEGO Ideas Wallace & Gromit set turns that instinct into a 1,038-piece display model centered on the motorcycle and sidecar from A Close Shave.

Both characters are brick-built rather than rendered as minifigures, giving the designers room to capture Wallace’s toothy optimism and Gromit’s famously economical expressions. The figures are posable, while a push along a flat surface turns the motorcycle’s wheels. Gromit gets oversized goggles that magnify his eyes, plus raised helmet straps shaped to suggest speed.

The completed model measures more than 9 inches high, 9 inches long, and 7 inches wide. Its compact footprint keeps the composition closer to sculpture than playset, joining a recent run of brick-built animated characters designed for adult shelves. Smaller references do much of the storytelling: Wallace’s crackers, a ball of yarn, and a diamond hide inside the motorcycle’s seat compartment.

The project began as the Grand Prize winner of the “’90s Throwback – the Next Chapter” challenge on the LEGO Ideas platform, making the finished set a fan-originated interpretation rather than a generic licensed model.
LEGO Ideas Wallace & Gromit 21371 is available for preorder from LEGO for $99.99. U.S. orders are scheduled to ship beginning October 1, 2026.
