Many of us have enjoyed a few nostalgic and heartwarming moments while snooping through our grandparents’ things. But far fewer of us have managed to unearth a true revelation in the art and science of cocktail mixology.
Amazingly, that’s exactly what happened to one of the founders of Herb & Lou’s Infused Cubes. While looking through his grandfather’s dusty basement, he chanced upon a weathered notepad that contained a treasure trove of delicious cocktail recipes. The creations of his grandpa Herb and his grandpa’s Army buddy Lou, these cocktails were widely enjoyed by family, friends, and fellow adventurers around the world.
While Herb and Lou loved to bring their drinks to the party, they hated playing bartender all night long. Their solution to this problem was both simple and innovative. Saving the booze for later, they decided to mix up their favorite concoctions beforehand, pour them into ice cube trays, and freeze them solid. This turned every partygoer into a master mixologist. Just place one of Herb & Lou’s special ice cubes in a glass and add a splash of booze. Suddenly you’re holding a perfect cocktail.
Decades after Herb and Lou’s heyday, their grandsons are proud to bring Herb & Lou Infused Cubes to the modern marketplace. These cubes include the Clyde (a peach, herb, and bitters mixture for vodka and tequila), the Cecile (a cucumber, watermelon, honey, and thyme mixture for vodka and tequila), and the Cooper (a blood orange and ginger mixture for bourbon).
