Alessi has released The Tending Box Mixing Kit, just in time for gift-giving this season. The exclusively designed set by Giulio Iacchetti, with the consultancy of mixologist Oscar Quagliarini, contains everything the home bartender needs to prepare mixed cocktails in a balanced synthesis between shape and function. The Tending Box Mixing Kit includes the Parisienne cocktail shaker, consisting of two stainless steel glasses. The smaller one has a handle. There is also a Quadri Combo—a 4-piece rig with a central ring and four jiggers at 1.5 cl, 3 cl, 4 cl, and 6 cl capacities.
Next, a double bar strainer features two differently pitched springs for filtering. The kit also includes a mixing spoon and a Baton LeLe stirrer in 18/10 stainless steel. It is all dishwasher-safe and made in Italy. Giulio Iacchetti is an industrial designer whose research of new object typologies has garnered awards for innovation in design. Since its establishment in 1921, Alessi has become a leading exponent of the “Factories of Italian design.” Alessi says the company’s mission is to translate creative expressions into functional objects. The Alessi The Tending Box Mixing Kit meets these goals with a design that combines minimalistic form with function in a stylishly modern mixing kit for home or business.
