The Mercedes-Benz GLC is back for 2023. While it looks similar to the outgoing model, engineers went through the SUV, improving the details. Mercedes-Benz is releasing several variants of the GLC for the U.S market, but not all at once. The first two available variants of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC are the 300 and 300 4Matic, the difference being the 4Matic’s all-wheel drive. These models feature the M254 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system with a second-gen integrated starter-generator. Performance for this engine comes at 258-hp and 295 lb.-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels.

According to Mercedes-Benz, both the GLC 300 and GLC 4Matic sprint from zero to 60 mph in 6.2-seconds. Moreover, designers fine-tuned the GLC’s dimensions to make it slightly bigger but more aerodynamic with subtle styling tweaks. The GLC’s wheel size ranges from 18 to 20-inch depending on trim level. Options include running boards with digital exterior lighting.

The interior sees changes with the pairing of a 12.3-inch driver display and an 11.9-inch center-mounted infotainment screen using the latest MBUX software. New standard features include heated front seats and wireless charging. Other variants of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC, like a plug-in hybrid and high-performance AMG model, will arrive next year.
