Vipp, the Danish company noted for its unique industrial design products, has unveiled the Vipp Swivel Chair, intended for office environments where extended seating time is required. The Vipp story begins in 1939 with the development of a metal trash bin. Vipp’s founder, Holger Nielsen, crafted a pedal-controlled bin for his wife’s hair salon and over the years it became a staple in salons and medical clinics across Denmark. In 2009, the bin was accepted into the permanent design collection at the MoMA in New York. Needless to say, Vipp has a distinguished history.
The Vipp Swivel Chair is born from the original Vipp Chair, introduced several years ago. The chair features a choice of a polished or powder-coated aluminum frame with an upholstered leather seat and backrest. A four-legged base on caster wheels allows for a 360° seat rotation. Designed with a fixed height position and a discretely stitched upholstery pattern, the Swivel Chair offers extreme comfort and sophistication. It is available in both sand-colored and black leather upholstery.
