Pagani has unveiled the Huayra 70 Derecho at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, placing a new few-off creation from its Grandi Complicazioni division at the center of its hill-climb showcase. Built as the second of three Huayra 70 models celebrating Horacio Pagani’s 70th birthday, the Derecho is less a standard model extension than a rolling demonstration of the brand’s most obsessive bespoke work.

The name references a rare atmospheric phenomenon known for intense straight-line winds, a fitting metaphor for a car defined by force, precision, and visual motion. Its exterior is finished in Pearl Orange and Blue, with the deeper Inky Blue applied to the lower sections and interior monocoque to expose the intricate Pagani fish-bone weave in the carbon fiber. Solid-milled aluminum elements are integrated into the bodywork and anodized in Glossy Titanium, a finish repeated on the custom Huayra 70 Titanium wheels.

Inside, Pagani pairs Ceramic White leather with Tricolore Blue leather and bespoke contrast stitching. Pearl Orange details on the 12 o’clock steering-wheel stripe and gear knob tie the cabin back to the exterior without turning the interior into a color exercise. As with most modern Pagani builds, the material story is as important as the performance sheet.

That performance sheet is still serious. The Huayra 70 Derecho uses a Pagani V12 60-degree, 5,980 cc twin-turbo engine developed by Mercedes-AMG, producing 864 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a Pagani by Xtrac seven-speed manual transverse gearbox, sending power to the rear wheels through an electromechanical self-locking differential. The chassis combines Carbon-Titanium HP62 G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62, with front and rear Cr-Mo steel subframes and carbon-fiber body panels.

Pagani lists the top speed at an electronically limited 217.5 mph. Braking comes from ventilated Brembo carbon-ceramic discs measuring 398 mm up front and 380 mm at the rear, while Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires measure 265/30 R20 at the front and 355/25 R21 at the rear.
The Huayra 70 Derecho will be shown at Goodwood alongside the Zonda F Roadster and Utopia Roadster, with the Huayra Codalunga Speedster and Huayra R appearing in dynamic activity on the hill.
