While the teaser trailer for the upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice did nothing else but tease us with a few exciting scenes, the follow-up trailer, which was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con, gives us a glimpse of why the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight are at each other’s throats. For one thing, it seems Superman destroyed Wayne Tower. That’s probably reason enough to piss of any building owner.
We can infer by watching the trailer that Lex Luthor, the unexpectedly “hairy” and power-hungry billionaire portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg, will play some kind of fishy role in turning the two superheroes against each other. Oh, and he also happens to be in possession of a gigantic chunk of Kryptonite, and we can easily anticipate this green rock doing some harm to Superman. As if this isn’t enough, the movie will have Wonder Woman and Aquaman in it, and we can also see a trailer scene with Robin’s suit that has Joker’s graffiti painted all over, hinting a “Joker kills Robin” subplot in the actual movie.
With so many characters and plotlines already suggested in the trailer, we can’t help but wonder: will Zack Snyder pull off making a coherent movie without losing too much focus? Well, he does have some time to figure things out as the release date for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is still quite away on March 25, 2016.
