Summit Entertainment has released its first trailer for the much anticipated reboot of Hellboy. The R-rated reboot stars David Harbour as Hellboy, who’s most well known for playing Jim Hopper in Stranger Things.
Harbour has teased us for quite a while on his progress from a embodying the physique of a sad, overweight police chief to getting jacked to play the titular character. Ian McShane plays Hellboy’s adaptive father Trevor Bruttenholm, while the film introduces Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio and Milla Jovovich as antagonist Nimue.
Judging by the trailer, the R-rating seem appropriate and welcomed. Visually, we’re not too convinced that it looks drastically different enough from the original films starring Ron Perlman, but the tone feels more fun than Hellboy’s first outing on the big screen. Hellboy opens in theaters on April 12, 2019.
