1991 heralded the birth of adidas Equipment (EQT), a collection of cross-category sports shoes informed by four core principles of protection, cushioning, stability, and traction. Framed as ‘the best of adidas,’ the Equipment franchise was defined by its quality and superior utility. Now, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the adidas EQT line, the brand has partnered with a number of retailers around the world for new sneaker collaborations. One such partnership is with the Canadian sports shoe brand, Livestock. The result is the adidas Consortium x Livestock Equipment Running Support 93. The inspiration for the sneaker is based on the process of prototyping, testing, and development, as the EQT Running Support 93’s synthetic suede upper pays homage to quality craftsmanship in design.
Throughout, colors, materials, and graphics all reference the tools of the trade — nodding to grid cutting boards, masking tapes, and measuring instruments. Semi-translucent micro-mesh paneling allows your socks to be seen, plus woven tongue tags, co-branded heel embroideries, and custom lacing dubraes (lace tags) complete each pair. Meanwhile, the design includes injected EVA foam cushions underfoot as well as a Torsion stability bar that improves heel-to-toe responsiveness during wear. A rubberized outsole rounds out the look, lending a full range of traction to the adidas Consortium x Livestock EQT Running Support 93’s thoughtful and functional design.
