Racing tribute watches often wear their references like sponsor decals. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa s more disciplined, translating a vintage Japanese timing instrument into a 39mm Carrera Glassbox limited to 150 numbered pieces.

The watch reunites TAG Heuer, Team Ikuzawa, and Bamford Watch Department for a second collaboration following their Japan-exclusive release from 2023. Its design draws from a Roadmaster stopwatch used by Team Ikuzawa during the 1970s and 1980s, bringing the instrument’s graphic clarity to a white Clous de Paris dial with printed black numerals and a black 60-second flange.

Red lacquer distinguishes the hour and minute hands, central chronograph seconds hand, 30-minute counter, and date numerals at six o’clock. The Team Ikuzawa signature occupies the space normally reserved for running seconds, preserving a clean two-register layout. The polished and brushed steel case measures 13.9mm thick and offers 100 meters of water resistance. Inside, TAG Heuer’s automatic TH20-10 caliber runs at 4 Hz and provides an 80-hour power reserve, visible through a sapphire caseback carrying Team Ikuzawa and Bamford branding.

A seven-row steel bracelet gives the watch period texture, while perforated white leather and red-striped textile straps provide two livelier alternatives. That restraint separates it from more overtly branded motorsport chronographs without severing the racing connection.
The Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa costs $10,500. TAG Heuer’s U.S. store currently lists the 150-piece edition as out of stock online.
