A first motorcycle should feel like an invitation. With The Trip, Moto Guzzi is making that invitation considerably easier to accept: a new roadster built around a parallel-twin engine producing almost 48 horsepower, with A2-license compatibility and a seat height starting at 31.1 inches.

The numbers suggest an approachable package rather than a miniature flagship. Running-order weight is 397 pounds, while a roughly four-gallon metal tank gives the compact silhouette some useful substance. The engine stays visually dark, letting the tank, exposed mechanical elements, and eagle-shaped LED headlight carry the design. An embroidered model name on the saddle adds a small tactile detail.

That restrained appearance hides a contemporary cockpit. A circular 3.6-inch TFT display supports smartphone connectivity, backlit switchgear helps after dark, and ride-by-wire offers Road, Sport, and Rain modes. Pictogram navigation and a quickshifter belong to the accessory list, so buyers should factor those into their configuration rather than assume they come standard.

The appeal sits in the same accessible territory as other compact modern roadsters, but the clean bodywork gives this one a distinct identity. Moto Guzzi expects dealer availability in early 2027. For riders drawn to the badge but looking for a more manageable entry point, The Trip is a meaningful expansion of the lineup.
