Removing the roof usually changes a supercar’s limits. The Aston Martin Valhalla Spider retains a claimed 217-mph maximum with its cockpit open, although the choice of roof still matters.

The new convertible carries over a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors, producing approximately 1,064 hp and 811 lb-ft combined. Two motors drive the front axle; the third sits within the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Aston Martin quotes 2.5 seconds from 0–62 mph.

A carbon-fiber monocoque underpins the car. Revised active aerodynamics and stability-control calibrations accommodate roof-on and roof-off driving. A clip-in wind deflector directs air over the occupants and toward a cooling snorkel raised by about 1.4 inches. The deflector folds into three sections for storage in the sills.

The removable fabric roof limits speed to 124 mph. A carbon hardtop permits the full 217-mph maximum, as does leaving the cockpit uncovered; standard roof equipment varies by market. That distinction separates weather protection from the car’s highest-speed configuration.
Inside, standard carbon-fiber seats take a new Touring form designed to improve comfort and access with the roof fitted. A more supportive single-piece carbon seat remains a no-cost option, while raised footwells preserve the low seating position.
Aston Martin plans to begin customer deliveries in the third quarter of 2027.
