Aston Martin Dreadnaught Goes Off Script

A V12-powered Call of Duty concept pushes Aston Martin’s design language into armored off-road territory.

Aston Martin has spent more than a century refining elegant speed; the Dreadnaught imagines what happens when that vocabulary is sent off-road and armored for a video game. Developed with Infinity Ward and Activision for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, the Aston Martin Dreadnaught is a V12-powered concept rather than a preview of a showroom model.

The machine trades the brand’s familiar low rooflines for a tall, wide body over enormous all-terrain tires. Protective cladding, exposed recovery hardware, high-mounted lighting, and a sharply cut rear treatment give it a military-utility stance, while the grille, surfacing, and quad exhausts preserve recognizable Aston Martin cues.

The companies have disclosed little mechanical information beyond the V12, so output, chassis construction, dimensions, and whether a fully functional vehicle was built remain unconfirmed.

That ambiguity is part of the project’s interest. Automakers regularly place fictional vehicles in games, but the Dreadnaught uses the assignment to test how far a tightly controlled luxury identity can stretch. It sits closer to a full-scale design study than branded background scenery, providing a rugged counterpoint to road-focused projects such as the Touring Superleggera Veloce12 Aperta.

The Dreadnaught is not offered for sale. It will appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 when the game launches in October 2026, leaving any production off-roader firmly in the realm of speculation.
