Norman Foster’s new watch begins by removing the lugs. The Lebond Norman Foster joins case and strap into one continuous shape, bringing the architect’s interest in integrated design to an everyday mechanical watch.

Developed with the Norman Foster Foundation’s Design & Innovation Unit, it uses a 38.5mm Grade 5 titanium case measuring 10mm thick. An interchangeable FKM rubber strap follows the case directly, while a matching titanium folding clasp completes the assembly. Water resistance is 50 meters.

The practical centerpiece is a bidirectional 12-hour bezel. Rotating its scale allows the main hour hand to indicate a second time zone without adding another hand or a more complicated movement. Foster’s experience as a pilot gives that decision a purpose beyond visual minimalism.
Inside, an automatic ETA 2892-A2 supplies a 50-hour power reserve and a date display at three o’clock. Sapphire crystals cover both sides, exposing a custom perforated rotor behind the otherwise restrained dial.

The Natural Titanium edition combines a micro-sandblasted case with a light gray sunray dial. The Black Edition uses matte DLC, white luminous markings, and a red rotor. Both extend Lebond’s architect-designed watch approach through proportion and construction.
The movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 21 jewels. On the black version, blue-glowing Super-LumiNova adds visibility to the hands and markers; the 18mm strap keeps the case-to-wrist transition compact.
Both editions are offered directly by Lebond for €3,500 each.
