TAG Heuer has introduced the Monaco Chronograph x Goodwood Festival of Speed, a 71-piece limited edition that brings British Racing Green to one of the brand’s most recognizable motorsport watches. The release marks TAG Heuer’s continued role around Goodwood, where the Festival of Speed remains one of the rare modern events able to put historic racing machinery, contemporary performance cars, and watch-world nostalgia in the same sentence without forcing it.

The watch uses the familiar 39mm square Monaco case in fine-brushed and polished stainless steel, measuring 15mm thick with a 47.5mm lug-to-lug span. It keeps the modern Monaco layout with the crown at 3 o’clock and adds a sapphire caseback, 100 meters of water resistance, and a brown perforated leather strap with a folding clasp and double safety push buttons.

The dial does most of the event-specific work. TAG Heuer uses a British Racing Green lacquered finish, paired with beige-toned sub-dials and a matching outer minutes track for a vintage paddock feel. A black lacquered central chronograph hand carries a checkered-flag motif, while red sub-dial hands and a red 39-second marking add a more explicit racing note. That 39-second detail references the Goodwood Hillclimb record set by Max Chilton in the McMurtry Spéirling in 2022.

Inside is TAG Heuer’s in-house Calibre TH20-00, an automatic chronograph movement with an 80-hour power reserve and a 4Hz frequency. Its functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, a 1/4-second chronograph, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour counter. The movement is visible through the sapphire back, which carries Goodwood Festival of Speed branding.

Priced at £7,750, the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Goodwood Festival of Speed is a narrowly produced collector’s piece rather than a broad catalog addition. For Monaco enthusiasts, the appeal is straightforward: a classic square chronograph, a properly motorsport-coded dial, and a production run small enough to make the Goodwood connection feel more than decorative.
