The Audi quattro’s silhouette and a later RS4’s mechanical foundation meet in the Audacious IV. The British builder starts with the B7 RS4’s integrated structure, suspension, brakes, steering and electrical systems, then develops a new coachbuilt identity around them. It is an independent project, with a 4.2-liter V8 replacing the five-cylinder association that normally follows this shape.

A six-speed manual and Torsen all-wheel drive anchor the specification. Audacious lists 600-bhp and 750-bhp supercharged programs, with the latter bringing changes to engine internals, cooling, fueling and driveline. Separate naturally aspirated and supercharged programs target 10,000 rpm; those are distinct commissions, not a blanket rev limit attached to every version.

Body construction introduces another fork. Hand-formed metal cars retain an original UR quattro’s upper structure, roof and glass. Carbon-fiber commissions use a new upper body and glazing, dispensing with the need for an original quattro donor. Like other carbon-bodied reinterpretations, the result uses a recognizable outline as a starting point for a substantially different car.

The commissioning process extends beyond paint and upholstery to instruments, suspension character and mechanical specification. Buyers work directly with founder and designer Mac Zaglewski, with studio visits available near Edinburgh.

Audacious plans 50 cars worldwide and is accepting individual commissions.
