Since its founding in 2013, OnePlus has been producing flagship-quality phones. With its combination of sleek hardware and outstanding performance, OnePlus devices occupy a solid place in the Android phone market. The OnePlus 9 Pro is the brand’s latest 5G compatible phone. OnePlus has been behind the curve in the past regarding its phones’ cameras, but this has changed with the release of the OnePlus 9 Pro. OnePlus partnered with Hasselblad, the noted Swedish manufacturer of digital medium format cameras, to greatly improve the color performance of the OnePlus cameras — specifically, to bring authentic color and even more natural skin tone into the mix.
The 9 Pro smartphone also features a 6.7-inch QHD display running at a 3168×1440 resolution. The phone’s cover is made with Corning® Gorilla® Glass and the phone is offered in three colorways, ensuring it will match any style. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset gives it enough battery life to last a full day in most situations. OnePlus uses its own take on Android, called OxygenOS, which is one of the better flavors of Android on the market. The OnePlus 9 Pro, according to the company, is considered the brand’s best smartphone ever and holds its own against other high-end models like iPhone 12 Pro Max or the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It will be available for purchase in the United States on April 2nd but went live for pre-orders on March 23rd during a company-initiated virtual event.
