The next step from a lightweight electric trail bike does not have to be a larger adventure machine. Zero Motorcycles is taking a road-focused direction with Project Ventura, a production-intent supermoto shown at EICMA.

Ventura draws on the XE platform but adds purpose-built wheels and bespoke bodywork. Its 17-inch cast wheels wear road tires, while an upright riding position and provision for a passenger give the design a practical street brief. Lighting was developed to work across both Ventura and XE, tying the new silhouette to shared engineering.

The projected figures are more useful than a blanket promise of speed: over 20 kW of power, a sustained top speed of 65 mph, a momentary maximum of 81 mph, and an estimated 75-mile real-world range. Those remain production targets subject to change, rather than independently measured results.
An onboard charger is part of the package. Together with two-up capability, it places this electric motorcycle between playful weekend transport and a usable everyday ride. Battery capacity and final charging times have not been detailed in the current product presentation.
Zero is still refining the motorcycle with feedback from riders and dealers. A Ventura-inspired production motorcycle is planned for summer 2027; final specifications and pricing remain unconfirmed.
