A mirror finish leaves a watch with nowhere to hide a mark. The Tambour Convergence Mirror Steel addresses that tension through its material: patented treatment increases the steel’s surface hardness nearly sixfold.

The new version keeps the Convergence’s compact 37mm diameter and 8mm thickness. Artisans at La Fabrique des Boîtiers apply the mirror polish by hand, while sandblasted recesses inside the hollowed lugs supply a quieter contrast. A fluted crown and anti-reflective sapphire complete a case whose large uninterrupted front does much of the visual work.

Its aperture display replaces conventional hands with separate hour and minute discs. Both advance continuously rather than delivering an instantaneous jumping-hour change. The distinction matters: the architecture reduces the visible information without changing time into a once-an-hour event.

Inside, the automatic LFT MA01.01 runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 45-hour power reserve. An 18-karat rose-gold oscillating weight is visible through the open back, adding a warmer material to the otherwise restrained palette.

A hand-stitched Arroyo Grey saffiano calf-leather strap closes with a hardened-steel pin buckle. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters. The Mirror Steel model is now listed in the Louis Vuitton collection, with purchase inquiries handled through its concierge service.
