Nike continues to cement its place as the gold standard in athletic gear with the latest iteration of the Alphafly. Designed to be a shoe made for runners, the new Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2 builds on the feedback, design, and technology used in original iterations to create a custom running shoe poised to test the bounds of possibilities.
The Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2 was made for marathon and long-distance running. The new running system is filled with high-end features with quality materials designed to make long runs efficient, powerful, and comfortable. The updates to the new shoe focus on the overall shoe construction, adding better stability and transition. The Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2 midsole features full-length ZoomX foam, dual Zoom Air pods, and a full-length curved carbon plate. These powerful features combine to create a lightweight, propulsive, supportive run. The shoe also features foam in the forefoot to generate a smoother stride. A broader heel improves stability, while the upper Atomknit design adds breathability and comfort.
The Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 2 pays homage to the attention Nike directs to their testing and development, creating designs explicitly for athletes. The prototype colorway features pops of color, dual Zoom Air pods, and a wear test number along the side. Limited quantities of the prototype colorway of the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%2 were released June 15, with more colorways and details to follow.
