LEGO has announced the new LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Set. This collector’s edition model includes the coal car, the passenger car with light-up bricks, and the steam engine. It features a detailed replica of Platform 9 ¾, and the whole train sits on a track with a turning lever to activate the wheels. The Hogwarts Express Set boasts twenty LEGO mini-figures, including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. There’s also a new adult LEGO Harry Potter. LEGO Designer Marcos Bessa says they wanted to recreate that feeling of magic and bring to life different movie moments from across the series, from when the original trio meets on the train to later moments.
The Hogwarts Express Set also allows Harry Potter and LEGO fans to win the chance to build, play, and stay on a life-sized LEGO Hogwarts Express train. The contest is open to two adults and two children per family. This one-night experience gives the competition winners a magical adventure on one of the United Kingdom’s heritage railway lines. It includes playing with the new Hogwarts Express Set, a movie screening, and a stay in a luxury carriage. Additionally, winners receive dinner and breakfast in the Great Station Hall the next day. The LEGO Hogwarts Express Set and competition entry information is available beginning August 31st.
