H. Moser & Cie. has partnered with Bucherer to reinterpret one of its most technically ambitious pieces through a distinctly regional lens. The Pioneer Tourbillon Miami builds on the brand’s 40 mm Pioneer case, introducing a vivid blue fumé dial framed by a pink flange—a combination that draws from Miami’s Art Deco architecture and pastel skyline. The result is a watch that departs from traditional tourbillon restraint without abandoning the clarity and balance that define Moser’s design language.

The dial architecture remains purposefully restrained. Skeletonized hour and minute hands and diamond-cut indexes maintain legibility, while the flying tourbillon at six o’clock serves as both focal point and mechanical statement. This tourbillon is fitted with a dual hairspring system designed to improve isochronism and overall accuracy, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on technical refinement beneath an otherwise minimal presentation.

Inside, the self-winding HMC 805 caliber delivers a three-day power reserve and is finished with Moser’s signature double stripes. The case measures 10.4 mm thick and offers 120 meters of water resistance—an uncommon specification for a watch with this level of complication—positioning it as a piece that can move beyond occasional wear. The alligator strap, lined with rubber and equipped with a quick-release system, reinforces that versatility.
Limited to 28 pieces and available exclusively through Bucherer, the Pioneer Tourbillon Miami is priced at approximately £59,900. Its appeal lies in the tension between expressive color and disciplined engineering, offering a reminder that high watchmaking need not be confined to conservative aesthetics.
