Amazon is expanding its display lineup with the Ember Artline, a slender 4K QLED television designed to disappear into its surroundings when not in use. Instead of a black rectangle, the set showcases a constantly refreshed gallery of more than two thousand curated works of art, from classic paintings to contemporary photography, with no subscription required.

An integrated sensor adjusts the brightness and color temperature so the artworks appear more like framed prints than a backlit screen. Owners can also upload personal photos via the Fire TV interface or let the new “Match the Room” AI analyze their living room and suggest art that echoes its palette and décor.

When it’s time to watch something, the Ember Artline transforms back into a 4K entertainment hub. Built on Amazon’s latest Fire TV operating system, it supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content, voice control through Alexa+ and a hands‑free far‑field microphone array.

The set comes with a flush‑mounted wall bracket and a discreet cable solution that keeps wires hidden. Amazon says the television will ship with a choice of ten interchangeable frames and two screen sizes — 55 inches or 65 inches — priced from $899.99. Pre‑orders opened this week, with deliveries expected to begin April 22 in the United States and Canada, and early May in the United Kingdom and Germany.

For a lifestyle television that blends technology, design and a personal art collection, the Ember Artline could be an elegant alternative to Samsung’s Frame or LG’s Gallery series.
