Favre Leuba’s return to Watches and Wonders Geneva includes the Harpoon Revival, a re‑interpretation of a 1966 classic. The watch preserves the compact proportions of the original, with a polished stainless‑steel case measuring 36.8mm in diameter and only 10mm thick.

At 43.5mm from lug to lug, it sits comfortably on the wrist while the steel bezel and embossed crown echo the period detailing. A closed caseback features the hourglass medallion and typography of the historic model.

The grey dial stays true to the 1966 spirit while adopting a modern sunray finish. Applied rhodium‑plated hour markers are oriented horizontally at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock, an unconventional detail that sets the Harpoon apart from typical dive watches.

A metallic frame surrounds the date window at three o’clock, and rhodium‑plated hands filled with Super‑LumiNova ensure legibility in low‑light conditions. The watch comes on a black leather strap with quick‑release spring bars, secured by a pin buckle bearing the Favre Leuba signature.
While the exterior evokes the past, the mechanics are firmly contemporary. The FLD04 self‑winding movement, based on La Joux‑Perret’s G100 calibre, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a 68‑hour power reserve. A sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective coating protects the dial, and the case offers water resistance to 5 ATM, making the Harpoon Revival suitable for daily wear.
With a price of $2,300, this model demonstrates how a heritage design can be reimagined for modern collectors without losing its original charm.
