British fashion designer Craig Green has hit the ground running with his new ZX 2K Phormar II Shoes. Renowned for his creative and innovative designs, Green has completely reimagined the sports sneaker with this latest collaboration with adidas. The first surprise is the collapsible upper. Using stitched folds as a guide, the owner can fold down the upper for space-saving easy transport. You could literally fold these sneakers into your back pocket if you wanted to.
Next, the shoes feature very thin laces that thread through reinforced, extra-large rectangular eyeholes tightened with tension cords at key points along the heel, collar, and eyestay. This provides a customized fit right where you need it as the shoe bends and flexes during activity. adidas calls this a speed lacing system. We call it genius. The sneakers sit atop the popular Boost midsole for maximum give and comfort. A hidden benefit of the Craig Green ZX 2K Phormar II Shoes is their light weight. Between the Boost midsole and the flexible leather upper, you may well feel like you’re going barefoot. The shoes will drop February 25, 2021.
