Nocs Provisions is moving beyond binoculars with the Portal AFN7, a $179.95 adventure camera built to keep hikers looking outward rather than reviewing every frame. The brand’s first camera uses a digital viewfinder instead of a conventional rear playback screen, while its included NocDoc alignment tool lets the camera shoot directly through compatible Nocs binoculars and monoculars.

The compact body captures 16-megapixel JPEG stills and 4K UHD video at 30 fps through a fixed-focus f/2.2 lens with a 22.5mm-equivalent field of view. Six film-inspired presets provide baked-in color options, while 8x digital zoom, an LED flash, USB-C transfer, and microSD storage up to 128GB cover the basics.

At 4.9 ounces, the Portal is light enough for a daypack, and its IP56 rating protects against dust, rain, and spray without implying that the camera can be submerged.

The optics integration is what separates the Portal from the growing field of deliberately simple digital cameras. Nocs already builds compact outdoor glass such as the Lite View Spotting Scope, and NocDoc effectively turns that ecosystem into an improvised long-lens setup for wildlife and distant subjects. A 4GB card is included, and the sealed 1,100mAh battery is rated by Nocs for up to roughly 2,250 photos.
The Portal AFN7 is available now in Galapagos Gray, Moonwalk White, and Lassen Black for $179.95.
