Full-power electric mountain bikes are usually built like they expect an argument with gravity. The S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight weighs 41.4 pounds, bringing a convincingly sharp answer to the category’s mass problem.

Specialized pairs its 850-watt, 111 Nm 3.1 S-Works motor with a lighter 600Wh battery rather than the Levo’s available 840Wh pack. The result is roughly 5.7 pounds less than a comparable Levo 4, while an optional 280Wh range extender can stretch ride time to 3.36 hours. It is a more focused proposition than the brand’s earlier money-no-object Turbo Levo: carry only the battery the ride requires, then spend the saved mass on control.

The FACT 11m carbon chassis uses 29-inch wheels, adjustable geometry, and 140mm front/130mm rear travel. A Fox 36 SL Factory fork and Float Factory GENIE shock handle impacts, while Trickstuff Direttissima four-piston brakes manage speed.

Roval Control SL VI carbon wheels use Industry Nine Solix hubs and Vonoa carbon spokes, and a SRAM XX SL Eagle transmission keeps the drivetrain equally uncompromising. SWAT storage in the downtube preserves room for tools without adding a pack.

The Turbo Levo range is available through Specialized retailers. The Satin Carbon S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight costs $12,999.99 in sizes S2 through S5, with 29-inch wheels across the range.
