Trail collaborations often stop at palette. The norda x Black Diamond 000 begins with a new shoe, built around the stability and protection needed for rocky alpine terrain rather than a familiar silhouette in partner colors.

The seamless upper uses bio-circular Dyneema, selected for high abrasion resistance at low weight. A broad platform and substantial cushioning give the foot a steadier base on broken ground, while the geometry is tuned for ground feel rather than the high, soft ride of an ultra-distance model. Both brands recommend going one full U.S. size above a normal fit.

The 000 anchors a wider alpine-running collection developed with athlete Joe Grant. Black Diamond contributes its climbing and mountain-equipment perspective; norda supplies its material-led footwear construction.

The result sits between a fast trail shoe and an approach tool, with enough structure for technical routes but without the bulk of a hiking boot. It also gives the collaboration a distinct purpose alongside norda’s more protective 055 trail runner, rather than simply repeating that model.
Black Diamond offers the men’s 000 in Kunzite, Moonstone, and Obsidian, with women’s versions in the same colors. The shoe costs $295 in the United States and is available now alongside apparel, poles, packs, and accessories.
