Lucid Motors unveiled the latest evolution of its Air electric sedan dubbed the Air Grand Touring Performance. Unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, the Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance replaces the outgoing Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance. The new Lucid EV packs a punch with 1,050-hp, making it the fastest electric car in the U.S., with an EPA-estimated range of 446 miles. The Air Grand Touring Performance uses a dual-motor layout. The entry-level Lucid Air Grand Touring offers 819-hp and will see 60 mph in three seconds. It also provides a higher range of 516 miles when it’s rolling on 19-inch wheels. In contrast, the Air Grand Touring Performance receives 21-inch Aero Sport wheels. Fast charging is achieved thanks to its 900V+ battery technology, which can charge up to 300 miles in 21 minutes using a 350-kW DC charger. Lucid Motors also offers five exterior colors for the Air Grand Touring Performance.
The Lucid Motors interior offers a glass roof, a 5k-resolution 34-inch infotainment glass cockpit, a 21-speaker Surreal Sound audio system, and soft-close doors as standard. Other standard equipment includes massaging functions and over 30 safety systems. Buyers willing to shell out the Air Grand Touring Performance $180k asking price can expect deliveries to begin in June 2022.
