Lotus Engineering and Hope Technology paired up to create a bike that’s destined to change the landscape of the Olympics forever at the 2020 summer games in Tokyo. The Lotus x Hope Technology Track Bike features Hope Technology’s revolutionary manufacturing process. It uses a carbon fiber frame and focuses on reducing wheel weight while resetting the balance between stiffness and mass.

These innovative concepts were combined with Lotus Engineering’s work on the unique handlebars and front fork design. The result is a bike that was able to withstand a full-fledged and secret testing program of wind tunnel evaluations.

Lotus Engineering is no secret to developing lightweight racing performance concepts in both the auto and cycling industries. In fact, it was a Lotus sportbike that cycling pioneer, Chris Boardman, rode during his gold-winning performance at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and his winning of the prologue time trial in the Tour de France in 1994.
