The Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster is a loving tribute to the rare 1950 original, which was the company’s first electric guitar with a solid body, two pickups, and a truss rod. It’s believed that only 250 of the Broadcasters were ever made and this reproduction lovingly recreates what made this instrument so special. It features an ash body with a lacquer finish in Blackguard Blonde and a one-piece neck made of maple with a 7.25-inch radius fingerboard and 21 frets.
Single-coil pickups recreate the earliest Telecaster tones. When you pick up this recreation, it feels like a classic Fender from the earliest era, with each curve and line accurate to the original designs. The anniversary edition also features a reproduction of the vintage Broadcaster blend circuit, a black phenolic pickguard, anniversary neck plate, embroidered case and certificate of authenticity. This commemorative Broadcaster elicits the vibes and sound of an instrument integral to Fender establishing its name as synonymous with top quality guitars.
