TDM Neo Turns Headphones Into a Bluetooth Speaker

A twisting headband lets TDM’s $249 Neo switch between private listening and a 5-watt portable speaker.

Most headphones are designed to keep sound in. The TDM Neo deliberately does the opposite when asked, twisting into a compact Bluetooth speaker without requiring a second device.

Each earcup contains separate inward- and outward-facing 40mm drivers. In headphone mode, the internal pair handles private listening; roll the flexible headband inward and the external drivers take over as two 5-watt speakers. The mechanical transformation gives the Neo a clearer reason to exist than another incremental pair of wireless headphones, particularly for travel or a desk where carrying two audio products feels redundant.

Battery life is rated at more than 200 hours in headphone mode and more than 16 hours in speaker mode. A five-minute USB-C charge can provide up to eight hours of listening. Bluetooth 6 supports multipoint pairing, a 3.5mm input provides a wired option, and the app stores separate EQ profiles for private and shared listening. Both the battery module and memory-foam ear cushions are replaceable.

The Neo first appeared at CES 2026 and is now available to order in the United States. It comes in Onyx Black or white with a carrying case, USB-C cable, and auxiliary cable. TDM prices the hybrid headphones at $249. That places them in premium wireless-headphone territory, with a second use that is more substantial than a software feature.
