Seventeen pockets can solve an organization problem—or create another one. The MED PAC & SHOULDER EG ED makes the layout part of its identity, numbering each compartment rather than hiding the bag’s complexity behind a clean exterior.

The new collaboration between Engineered Garments and Chrome draws on military bag construction, then redirects it toward everyday urban use. Large side pockets sit alongside smaller storage spaces, providing separate places for the different objects that otherwise collect at the bottom of a single compartment. The numbers give that arrangement a visible order without prescribing what belongs where.

A dedicated internal laptop pocket brings the concept into the working week. The approach shares the compartment-minded logic of camera bags, but its brief is broader: organizing a changing daily load rather than protecting a particular equipment system.
Removable shoulder and backpack straps allow two carrying configurations. That is the more consequential part of the military reference, turning an aesthetic vocabulary into a practical choice about how the load sits against the body.
Black and olive versions keep the emphasis on the pocket arrangement and straps. Distribution is planned through Nepenthes stores and online, alongside selected Chrome stores. Exact U.S. stock timing remains unconfirmed. The design’s interest lies in making organization visible and carrying style adjustable, with both features built into the same bag.
