An adventure bike’s hardest balancing act happens before the trail begins: it must carry touring equipment without feeling like luggage. The new Honda CRF1150L Africa Twin tackles that problem with a redesigned chassis and fuel stored partly beneath the seat.

Introduced for the European 2027 lineup, the family grows to three distinct roles. The standard model remains the all-rounder, Adventure Sports emphasizes distance, and the new Enduro Sports brings rally-derived bodywork and front suspension. It is a coherent expansion of the adventure motorcycle formula, with different hardware supporting different priorities.

The common foundation is a 1,131cc parallel twin producing approximately 117 horsepower and 88 lb-ft of torque. A new frame and swingarm shed about 3.1 pounds together, while the split fuel arrangement lowers the center of gravity. Compact twin headlights sharpen the familiar forward-heavy proportions.

The standard bike gains an electric windscreen and Showa EERA suspension with Honda Skyhook control. Adventure Sports uses a 19-inch front wheel and offers Honda SENSING RIDE assistance; Enduro Sports concentrates on ground clearance, standing control, and long-travel suspension.

A 7-inch touchscreen adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a separate 5.7-inch information display. Revised switchgear reduces the button count from 22 to 16, while a narrower chassis and higher handlebars alter the riding position.

The CRF1150L family is confirmed for Europe as a 2027 range. U.S. availability has not been announced.
