Chrome Industries and hospitality workwear brand TILIT have expanded their chef-focused collaboration with the Chrome x TILIT 29L Chef Pack, a limited-edition backpack built for cooks who move between kitchens, pop-ups, commutes, and city streets. The release follows the brands’ earlier Kadet Chef Knife Sling, but scales the concept into a full-size roll-top carry system with more room for daily gear.

The Chef Pack pairs Chrome’s urban-carry background with TILIT’s understanding of kitchen work. Its core feature is a removable knife roll designed to hold two to five essential knives and tools, using Velcro hold-down straps and protective flaps to keep blades secured in transit. Chrome also adds UHMWPE cut-resistant reinforcement, tarp lining for easier cleanup, and a transparent zip pocket for smaller items that need to stay visible.

The backpack itself offers 29 to 33 liters of capacity, weather-resistant construction, padded ergonomic shoulder straps, a removable sternum strap, and a molded back panel for support and breathability. A padded device sleeve fits up to a 15-inch laptop, while an exterior side zip pocket handles a water bottle or other quick-access carry. The pack also includes a removable 25L tote, giving chefs extra capacity when heading to a market, event, or long shift.

At $220, the Chrome x TILIT Chef Pack is clearly more specialized than a standard commuter bag, but that specificity is the point. Chefs, culinary students, and serious home cooks often travel with separate knife rolls and improvised bags.
This pack integrates that toolkit into a commute-ready backpack built for the ride to service and the work behind the line.
