As the world reimagines the traditional 9 to 5, so too does it reimagine traditional office wear. Balenciaga and adidas’ latest collaboration blends sportswear and fashion and puts the results in the boardroom. The two brands have modified some of their most famous pieces, including iconic T-shirts, tracksuits, iconic sneakers, baggy jeans, and jewelry styles, to create the Balenciaga / adidas collection.
Both brands shine through with flying colors. One model sports the famous adidas stripes with the Balenciaga name under it, while another dons a sweatshirt that looks perfectly at home in a tech mogul’s corner space. First seen on the runway at the New York Stock Exchange trading floor during Balenciaga’s Spring 23 presentation, the campaign showcases a variety of public figures, including Bella Hadid, Jermell Charlo, and Han So Hee, sporting looks in different office spaces.
The boredom, satisfaction, and aggression are evident on their faces, captured by photojournalist Joshua Bright and videographer Rosie Marks. Still-life photos highlight shoes, jewelry, and handbags in these isolated and vibrant landscapes. Fans of either brand will be able to find these pieces in select Balenciaga and adidas storefronts, as well as on balenciaga.com and adidas.com/balenciaga. On November 3, 2022, pop-up stores in Toronto, Osaka, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Seoul, Bangkok, and Dubai also offered the clothing and accessories to the public.
