After a tough 2021 season in FIA Formula 1 racing, Ferrari sought to redesign their lead car to outpace and outperform the tough competition. Self-labeling their car the “Brave”, Ferrari engineers worked their magic to create a frighteningly fast car that still met 2022 technical regulations. The newly designed car featured dark red bodywork to take advantage of forgiving yet flexible rules. The aggressive new shape featured sidepods combined with a hybrid power unit. The new system created a unique power efficiency with a state-of-the-art energy transformation process, fully optimizing the engine.
Named the F1-75 to celebrate 75 years of Ferrari road cars, the new design performed remarkably well. Ferrari scored four victories, including Australia, Bahrain, Great Britain, and Australia. Continuing their success, Ferrari earned another 16 podiums, making a massive resurgence in the racing world after their 2021 season. Marked as a banner year, the team scored 554 points for the season, almost double what Ferrari earned the previous year.
Now, collectors can memorialize Ferrari’s resurgence on the F1 circuit with a 1:12 Scale model. The Ferrari F1-75 Nosecone – 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix – 1:12 Scale mimics the nosecone of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz’s race car from Bahrain. The 1:12 model is made by hand and uses high-quality materials. The design team took over 500 hours to develop the model, crafted with photo-etchings, casings, and a CNC machine to create metal components. Racing enthusiasts and collectors alike can purchase the Ferrari nosecone model for $420.00.
