Land Rover unveiled the third-generation Range Rover Sport for 2023. This new model features a longer wheelbase and the slimmest daytime running lights ever fitted to a Land Rover SUV. In addition, the 2023 Range Rover Sport offers a new plug-in hybrid engine to its extensive line of powertrain options. This PHEV variant is leading up to the fully electric Range Rover Sport is set to debut in 2024.

The 2023 Range Rover Sport entry trim levels receive a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a 48-volt hybrid system making 355-hp. The Range Rover Sport P440e plug-in-hybrid features a 31.8-kWh battery to boost the engine’s total power output to 434-hp. However, buyers looking for more performance can opt for a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 sourced from BMW, making 523-hp. Each engine option comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.

As for the interior, most of its layout carries over from the 2022 model year. However, updates include a high-resolution floating curved display screen positioned at an angle. In addition, buyers can equip the 2023 Range Rover Sport with Land Rover’s Dynamic Response Pro Package, which adds all-wheel steering and an active electronic differential.
