The original Vollebak Indestructible Puffer Jacket released in 2019 just got an upgrade with the new Vollebak Indestructible Puffer, which is now waterproof. The outer shell is made with 100% Dyneema, the strongest fiber ever created – 15 times stronger than steel.
While it keeps the wearer dry, the Vollebak Indestructible Puffer will keep the wearer safe from some of the worst Mother Nature can throw their way – like temperature. Puffer jackets are known for their warmth, but they don’t typically get angrier as it gets colder. The Indestructible Puffer’s Dyneema shell gets up to 10% stronger as the temperature drops and is rated for wear down to -30*C / -22*F.
Vollebak does the environmentally conscious thing by using microfibers from recycled plastic bottles as the base for its insulation, miming the warmth created by down but without the gruesome sourcing issues. The coat also fends off abrasion. Normal puffers tear easily, setting all the down loose. The Indestructible Puffer turns aside blunt force trauma and tearing slashes from sharp rocks. Vollebak only offers the coat in black, because what other color could possibly be worthy? Would-be adventurers can challenge Mother Nature for $1,095.
