‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Teaser Trailer

Thor is back.

The very first teaser trailer for Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder has just been released and it offers a glimpse of what happened to the Asgardian Avenger after the events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Set to Guns N’ Roses’ 1987 song Sweet Child O’ Mine, the trailer shows Thor getting back into shape after his “Bro Thor” phase in Endgame, and hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Thor embarks on a journey, unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie played by Tessa Thompson, Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, played by  Natalie Portman, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they go on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. Thor: Love and Thunder, which also got its first poster yesterday, is set to open in theaters on July 8, 2022.
