Roger Dubuis, the renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker, has unveiled its latest masterpiece – the Monovortex Split-Seconds Chronograph, featuring a rugged 47mm case made of Mineral Carbon Fiber. This new addition to the brand’s collection is a true demonstration of the company’s exceptional craftsmanship, performance, and innovation.

At the heart of the Roger Dubuis Monovortex Split-Seconds Chronograph is a pioneering design that exploits the effects of gravity. The ground-breaking Conical Monovortex Tourbillon sits at 9 o’clock and boasts an unusual 360° trajectory to protect the watch’s precision, no matter the position of the wearer’s wrist. The Turborotor Cylindrical Oscillating Weight, positioned vertically at 12 o’clock, is an innovative winding system that uses the entire force of gravity to push down on the mechanics, making it a more efficient and natural way to wind the watch.

The iconic Split-Seconds Chronograph has been reimagined, with a double-column wheel system and a rattrapante created to time every moment lived to the full. The brand has also enhanced the Split-Seconds Chronograph with a bold, elaborate, and innovative Rotating Minute Counter (120° RMC).

The Mineral Composite Fiber case is a material that is 13% lighter than carbon and 60% lighter than ceramic. The case is designed in a hyper-tech red color, a rare shade that is difficult to achieve. The watch features pink gold accents and is capped with a sapphire crystal. Its fully skeletonized dial showcases the playful styling of the Monovortex’s tourbillon movement. Powered by Roger Dubuis’ in-house RD114 Caliber, the Monovortex celebrates the Split-Second Chronograph movement as one of the brand’s most iconic complications.

The Roger Dubuis Monovortex Split-Seconds Chronograph rethinks many horological devices that we take for granted. Its 360-degree tourbillon eliminates the effects of gravity, and a rotating minute counter that can track 40-minute intervals. The power reserve is displayed on a sapphire scale hovering over the mainspring barrel, making it deceptively simple yet incredibly effective. The Monovortex Split-Second Chronograph wears comfortably on a matching red and black perforated bi-material strap.

Roger Dubuis’ commitment to pushing boundaries is evident in the Monovortex Split-Seconds Chronograph. It is a true testament to the brand’s expertise in creating mechanical calibers of advanced performance and showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. The pricing for this masterpiece is currently unavailable.
