Limited-edition whisky packaging can feel detached from what is inside the bottle. The Hibiki Japanese Harmony x Chiso collaboration makes a stronger case by connecting two Japanese houses whose identities are built around seasonality, craft, and layered tradition.

Founded in Kyoto in 1555, Chiso is known for Kyo-Yuzen kimono dyeing. Its design covers Hibiki’s familiar 24-faceted bottle with jewel-toned tachibana citrus, paulownia, cherry blossom, plum blossom, and camellia motifs. The imagery references prosperity, renewal, and longevity while the bottle’s facets continue to represent Japan’s 24 traditional micro-seasons.

The whisky itself remains Hibiki Japanese Harmony rather than a new liquid. Its established profile combines rose, lychee, rosemary, mature wood, honeyed sweetness, candied orange peel, white chocolate, and a subtle Mizunara finish. That distinction separates this release from age-stated special editions such as the Hibiki 21 and 30, where the whisky changes along with the presentation.

The 43-percent-ABV limited edition became available October 1 across major markets including the U.S. House of Suntory lists suggested pricing at approximately $135 to $150 depending on market.
