Move over Tesla, there’s a new player in town, and this one remedies the issue that most electric vehicles have been plagued with — design. Jaguar introduces their beautiful I-PACE Concept electric vehicle that previews a production version arriving in the second half of 2018.
Dubbed as the ultimate electric performance SUV, the Jaguar I-PACE features an all electric four-wheel-drive system underneath it’s Ian Callum designed sexy sheet metal. It will deliver 400-hp and 516 ft-lb of instant torque, propelling the car to 60 in around 4 seconds, an enviable feat for a SUV. With a projected range of around 220 miles, it can’t quite match the Tesla’s impressive range but should be plenty for everyday use. Inside, the I-PACE is spacious and sporty as there isn’t an internal combustion engine that eats up precious space. With Ian Callum promising that the production version will be as close to the concept in design as possible, we can’t wait for 2018 to arrive.
